Vision of South Strand Community Church This is the church we see God leading us to plant. By faith, we trust that he will accomplish this. The South Strand Community Church is a church where the atmosphere is so exciting, celebrative, relaxed, friendly, positive and expectant, that members are internally stimulated to invite their lost friends, family, neighbors and other associates as guests with them to worship where they will here the gospel of salvation through Christ. God is worshiped in spirit and truth in a style that is appealing to contemporary culture. Additionally, members are motivated to learn better ways to personally evangelize lost people around them. Seeing people come to Christ for salvation and become members of the church is a usual experience. Baptism events are frequent and cheerful. · The South Strand Community Church is a church with strong biblical doctrines and convictions, expressed and communicated with clarity-a church that takes theology seriously in order to avoid and minimize erroneous teaching.· The South Strand Community Church is a church that effectively teaches believers essential elements of the Christian faith and grows them through purposeful discipleship. Believers are taught continually how to have a better relationship with Christ, to better follow and walk with him. South Strand Community Church works to help God's people here grow in sanctification and Christ-likeness. Members are taught to learn and use their spiritual gifts in service and ministry to the body. · The South Strand Community Church is a church that emphasizes and practices both world and local missions by promoting and sponsoring mission trips; by sending out missionaries into the world to reach the unreached people groups; and by sending out church planters to reproduce other New Testament churches in other places.· The South Strand Community Church is a church where believers genuinely love one another, desire to minister to and serve each other by meeting needs through spiritual gifts-a church where people enjoy spending time relating to each other in fellowship. Relationships are important with people-relationships that caring, nurturing, forgiving, fun, and admonishing.
