My Personal Statement of Faith This statement of faith is an edited and abridged version of
the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith, also called the 2nd London
Confession. The text has been
rewritten in more modern English from the original.
I have virtually adopted to entire document with some edits and
modifications as doctrine which I hold to be true. What I have done here is merely take the parts that I
considered to be the basic essentials and put them in this more concise
statement, thus shortening the original document by nearly 75 percent.
I have also added a couple of paragraphs s I saw need to use my own wording. The entire
1689 Baptist Confession of
Faith is also available for you to read at
your convenience and for your pleasure.
